Our family has discovered a new game for the wii It is called Just dance. They can play this thing for hours in fact first time I played it was at a girls night out and we played for hours it was so much fun that I went out and bought it the next week. The funniest about it is Marshal can kick all there little booties.

First day of princess camp.
Kendall looks forward to this every summer she had a ball and I love how excited she gets about being polite and proper.

Charly and Noelle performed at South Ogden days.
I was hoping to get a clip of Noelle dancing to Billy Jean up but it is not working for me this morning. That girl really knows how to shake it.

I love this picture!
Noelle has been bugging us to let her babysit we let her give it a try while we went to dinner. This is what we found when we got home. I would say she did a fabulous job when she was able to get both of them to bed.

Todays catch up is on a camping trip Chuck took the kids on one weekend while I was having project night with friends and Charly was babysitting.
The girls loved it but soon found out camping with out Mom is very different. First being Dad did not worry about where they were headed and if there was a potty. This really concerned Kendall when she found out Dad expected her to go in the woods. After one try and quite a disaster at that Chuck found a potty for them.
They loved the fishing and taking turns going down the river in Dads kaiak
Marshal was the photographer and wanted to make sure you knew he was there. They came home with more shots like this then you could believe.
They had a great time. Noelle learned why you should not lean so far over the edge of the boat and Marshal learned if you are going to play in the water to not have your ipod or cell phone in your pocket.

I can not believe how behind I have gotten on this blog (actually I can) I am going to attempt to catch up on some of our summer highlights. I have never been very good at keeping a journal but know the importance of it, this is why I blog my form of journaling to help us remember some of the fun and important times in our family.
Our family is in such a unique stage where my oldest and my youngest are both hitting big milestones in there life. I guess that is why I tried to emerge myself into this summer and enjoy the times we had together and not worry about if my house was perfect, if the laundry was done or even keep up on this blog. Now that everyone is in school I have given myself a little time to catch up our blog.
The last 6 months or so I have been working on getting healthier and trying to lose some weight. In May (I think) I ran a 5k now I know to all my runner friends out there you are thinking ya so well this was huge for me I am not a runner still can not believe that at one time in my life I actually ran 4 miles a day.
This is the cute group that did it with me.
But my biggest supporters were my family. My little kiddos and Chuck (he is taking the photo) made sure they were all there to run with me. After awhile Marshal and Noelle took off ahead my pace being much slower than there's. Charly stayed with me being her cute little self encouraging and telling me how well I am doing and just before I finished Marshal and Noelle who had already finished came back to run in with me.
I am surrounded by the most amazing people. I had a break down about the struggles of my weight with some friends one night and by the next day they had come up with a plan to help me. Needless to say I have completed the insanity videos now go to the gym regularly and although the process is taking longer than I want I am getting there.
I am so grateful to have such a unbelievable support system. You all know who you are. Thanks for being there and most of all thanks for listening and helping me I know my journey is ongoing but I am glad you have given me the drive and fight to endure.

We found this little guy walking across the street in front of our house after a rain storm. Of course everyone wanted to keep him. Our compromise, we keep him for one day and night and let him go in a pond near our house. The poor little guy was probably relieved to go after being man handled for 24 hrs.

The new Cusco office is on the fourth floor. The only bad thing about it is there is no elevator. It is a brand new building.

There is a seperate office for each pair of missionaries with its accompaning restroom.

On the left is the conference room.
This is the Assistants room.

This is the Presidents office.

Looking from the front entry back to the conference and storage rooms.

It was a holiday and the celebration of Inti Raymi. While here Karen had her cell phone stolen from her purse.

We are back. After a long 5 months of chaos, mostly from me returning to school, I have returned to the world of blogging. Last time I made promises of weekly entries and such. What a let down from me, don't you think? I will not be placing such high expectations for myself this time. I only promise that in those quiet moments of time I have to think and ponder to myself that my house could not be cleaner and that the calm, quite, loving voices of my children playing together is music to my ears and the piles of beach towels are washed and folded perfectly waiting to be used at the pool, and no one has changed his or her clothes 50 times during the day, that I will post the memories of my family. Yeah right!!! That will never happen!!! But a mother can dream right?!! We love summer!! And I love the chaos that comes with it. Staying up late catching lighting bugs in a jar, popsicles melting on clean white shirts, BBQs, night games, sleeping in, hot humid days at the pool, water balloons wars, the smell of freshly cut grass(by my oldest son so great now that he can do it),uncontrollable laughter at lunch time, and just having my kids home all day are all things that will come to an end sooner than later and I don't want to miss any of it!!! My kids are only young once and I love my life as a stay at home mom. I wouldn't have it any other way!! So I will post when I can and hope that you enjoy the experiences we are having as my kids are growing up way to fast. I have already posted a few new entries. Enjoy!!

Mason can now keep up with the 3 older siblings on his brand new 2 wheel Lighting McQueen bike. Those little legs don't have to work quite as fast to keep up.

Taylor received the sportsmanship and Mr. Hustle award for his basketball league this winter. He was also selected to the all-star team. We are still waiting for the Mr hustle part of the award to work at home with chores. It may never happen, but we can always hope!

After a call from the school nurse and news that Brooklynn failed her eye exam at the school, I took her in for her first pair of glasses. She has developed a love hate relationship with them. After learning that she would have to wear them all the time, there was no longer the excitement of glasses as a "fashion statement". But of course, being able to see far out weighs the hate of wearing them all the time. We are thinking about contact lenses before the new school year starts. We shall see.

One by one, Jaxson watched most of his kindergarten classmates begin to loose their teeth. Many of them lost several over the year. Jaxson waited most patiently for his turn. And finally with only a month left of school he lost his first tooth. I have never seen anyone more proud to walk into his or her kindergarten class and announce that they had lost their first tooth. The second followed shortly after.

Who does not love a great Japenese steakhouse? The Cleverlys' love it!! We never tire of the entertaining tricks and wonderful food the chefs continually produce.

This is just a small look at what we have been up to over the last few months!

Future Joe the Plummer?

Maybe a Paleontologist?

Perhaps something with a little more danger.

Or something with top speed and precision.

He is still undecided what he loved the most and at 4 years old no pressure, but he sure had fun trying out future possibilities at the children's museum.

Today I attended the Limatambo ward. I wanted to go before I went home and something always came up and we never did make it before today. When I was a young elder I helped with the construction at least 10-15 times and our P-day.

When I went home they were just putting the trusses for the roof up. This is the oldest chapel in Peru. The overflow area is larger than other chapels down here.
The walls are trapazodial design.

This is one of more than 200 chapels in Lima.

I went to the Limatambo ward today. I wanted to go there before we went home as sevaral times as a young elder on my P-day I worked on the chapel. It is so satisfying to see it completed and know that you helped construct it. These three people joined the church at that time.

The brother was the first counselor to Roberto Vidal, the first Stake president in Lima. The sister in the middle joined the church at that time in Miraflores and the sister on the right joined just after I went home but her Bishop was Isaias Bravo who I know.

As near as I can tell this is the building that served as the Mariategui branch and where we lived as missionaries in 1961. It was remodeled in the early 70's. I use to walk by the Catholic church on my way to my sector. Such fond memories.

I should be in bed I am so tired but my mind does not seem to want to shut off tonight. I guess the overwhelming JOY of the last day of school has got me going. I have been looking forward to summer, I know several Mom's who dread the last day of school I have heard everything from I am not ready for all the whining and crying to what am I going to do with them all summer. I have to tell you I have never thought this, in fact I can't stop thinking of all I want to do with them. So I say bring on summer dance, early morning football, tennis lessons, piano lessons, popsicles, Cherry Hills, all the camps they get to do, bike rides, roasting marsh mellows in the back yard, barbecues, late nights, night games, and of course spending time with all our family and neighbors.
I guess the realization that before long this time in my life will be over and I don't want to look back and think I should of enjoyed them more. I have fond memories of my childhood summers and I am hoping to create the same for my kids.
So much changed in one day. Marsh is now headed to High School, Charly is off to Jr. High and my little Kendall will be in all day school. WOW did not think it would hit me so hard but I have to say I had a moment today at Charly's graduation. You know one of those Mom moments where you don't want to cry and you are not sure why you are about to cry. I guess that is why I am up so late tonight trying to get a handle on it all. The excitement, the sadness, and of course the worries a Mother can have.
I really am not worried about any of my kids upcoming adventures I know they will be fine. High School and Jr. High really does not scare me like some. I know both kids are good hearted kids who will find there way. I just hope that I will be able to make it. I hope and pray that I will be strong enough to guide them in the right direction's and to be strong enough during the hard times. 6th grade almost killed me emotionally to watch my sweet daughter deal with some of the things she dealt with. I have never questioned myself as much as I did this past year. I often wonder if my own Mom ever had these thoughts, and what she did. I do know that I am not by myself and that with lots of prayers and good family and friends I always make it.
So here's to Summer I am leaving my fears and worries behind to enjoy the next few months.

We went up to the mountains on a little hike near our house. It took us about three and a half hours round trip. It was so much fun to go up into the mountains. It is so beautiful this time of year. We didn't realize that we were going to have to walk through the river to see the waterfall. I should have had them wear shorter pants. I wish I would have taken a picture of them after the hike. Danielle's pink pants were pretty much brown from the knee down and all of our shoes were a nice dirt color. They are still in the garage waiting to be washed.
Chad, Mckenna, and Danielle went on this hike a few weeks ago in the rain, and Chad did it in the early spring. It was a little hard on Aleaya because we had to do some climbing and river crossing a few times. She did very well for her age and I was impressed with all of their ability to climb the mountain as quickly as they did. Chad had to carry Taila part way up and part way down. She loved it though. She said, "Dad can we do this every day?"
Aleaya had a different opinion. She said to me, "Mom, maybe I don't want to get married," I said, why? She said, "because then my husband will make me come on hikes like this with him." I will have to say it was Chad's idea to come on this hike. I had to laugh at her perspective. She also saw a young family with mostly little girls coming up the trail when we were almost back to the car and she said, Mom, should we warn them about this hike?" I had to laugh at that too. I said, no, maybe they will like it. You never know". She actually talks fondly of the hike now, but she was a little nervous crossing the rivers and climbing the rocks. She definitely has my careful anxious genes.
Mckenna and Danielle are strong hikers and had a great time.

We are way behind on the Blog, but we are going to catch up. As most of you know, Taylor was Baptized this month and as part of his experience we went to Palmyra, Kirtland, Winter Quarters, and the couple of days before his baptism to Nauvoo. We have been there many times because the Nauvoo temple is our temple, but this visit was different. Taylor was very excited because of his pending baptism and because his Grandpa and Grandma B, Grandpa C & Karen, Uncle Parker, Aunt Whitni, Asher (cousin), and Aunt Char were going to go with us. Taylor loves his family and when we visit with them no matter where that is. We had a great trip. We rented a house that slept all the adults in beds and was just a block and half from the temple. We started off by going on a wagon ride through the west side of Nauvoo. We than hit the family living center which is a lot of fun for the kids. There are games and you get to see how a lot of the crafts and trades of Old Nauvoo were performed. After that it was on to the Scovill Bakery (free ginger snaps) and down the street to the Post office, John Taylor home, Print shop, and Blacksmiths. There is a ton to do in Nauvoo and they continue to restore new homes and shops. We took a pit stop and than off to the Brick Yard and School. That made for a full day so we went to the house and cleaned up for Dinner at the Nauvoo Inn were Jaxson was very happy to have the waitress spill two ice cold sodas on him. After drying off Jaxson we went to the Nauvoo Pageant. It is a very good production and everyone really needs to go at least once. The theme is "When you're here, We're here." In the morning some of the Adults went to a session at the temple and the rest of us hit the Jonathan Browning Gun shop. The temple goers caught up to us at the mansion house, JS home, cemetery, and Red Brick store. There is a lot to do in Nauvoo but there are some things that you can't miss. One is the walk down the trail of hope. At the end of the trail is the crossing the saints took and a memorial of all those who died between Nauvoo and SLC. We have ancestors on the list on Grandma and Grandpa B's side. We listened to Grandpa tell some stories of those on his side. We later found out that on the Cleverly side we had a relative living in Nauvoo. The next thing you have to see is the movie "Joseph Smith, Prophet of the Restoration." On the way home we visited Carthage and reflected on everything at a hole in the wall mexican restaurant in Macomb Il. It was a good trip and really prepared us for the Baptism the next day. Baptism post will follow in a couple of days. Sorry for the very long post enjoy the slide show.
